Coping with COVID: Supporting Staff Wellness During a Pandemic

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 | 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. EDT

Presenter: Suzanne Robinson, MSW Director, National Programs Information, Support and Education. National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI)

Description: During COVID-19, it is critical that organizations avoid losing talented team members to stress, exhaustion and burnout. We'll explore how leaders can care for themselves as they manage others experiencing mental illness personally or within their families. Suzanne will offer basic communication, coping and crisis management techniques that can be applied to support staff experiencing stress related to COIVD-19, mental health symptoms or caregiving responsibilities. Join us for lively session!

  • Identify ways to combat stress and burnout within their organization.
  •  Apply basic communication, coping and crisis management techniques when supporting staff experiencing stress related to COIVD-19, mental health symptoms or caregiving responsibilities.
  • Locate NAMI affiliates and resources that may be helpful both personally and within their organizations.
