Dear Friends & Colleagues:
It's that time again when the FAR board will be meeting for our annual Board of Directors Strategic Planning Retreat.
At last year's retreat, the FAR board and Gold Resource Member attendees focused their energies on FAR membership. Our efforts led to a successful year of recruitment, retention, and renewals.
As my year leading FAR nears its end, I am proud of the accomplishments and initiatives we have developed as FAR's board members.
* We applied more resources to both growing and retaining our nonprofit membership. As a result, dues from that sector of our membership are up 14% this year!
* We focused on showcasing our new nonprofit members and guests at every luncheon. We also made sure you were aware of who your Board members are so you could easily approach them with suggestions for FAR's future.
* We moved forward on registering our new logo and name. We're FAR: the business leaders network!
* We renewed our relationship with CGG for another 3 years.
* To make is easier for attendees to remember the luncheon date and location, we sent an Outlook invitation to each registered guest prior to each luncheon
* We began and continue to explore sites for our luncheons that we can schedule on a regular recurring basis.

Fun, Finance, and Fellowship! One of my favorite volunteer activities was planning the Christmas party. I'm looking forward to continuing to provide fun and enjoyable interactions for members. Lastly, it's important to connect individuals who can work together for their mutual benefit. If all that happens, the value of the FAR membership will increase and the organization will organically attract new members.
