Dear FAR Members:
Happy New Year!
In my last two letters to the membership I spoke about all the changes that FAR has undergone or was planning. I thought I would keep with that theme and share even more changes we have been making.
All new members and non-profit guests that have attended the luncheons are greeted by a member of the membership committee at the registration table. The membership representative is there to welcome and provide general information. We have been receiving a lot of positive feedback on the very simple, but very personalized, change.
FAR is also working on getting more exposure within the DC area. We will again have a booth at ASAE's FHRBOC in May and will be a sponsor for the Association Trends CFO of the Year awards luncheon.
Finally, I'm very excited to announce the Board has retained McKinley Advisors to help with the FAR brand campaign. Work on this project is scheduled to start in early February. McKinley Advisors will be contacting some of you to participate in focus groups and surveys. If you are asked, I hope you will consider participating.

The Value of FAR Education

There are many benefits of attending FAR educational sessions. As professionals, we are expected to be subject matter experts in many areas and to have a working knowledge of even more areas. We all know how difficult it is to remain current, especially when we wear multiple hats. Attendees consistently rate the quality, subject matter, and usefulness of the education that FAR provides very highly. This is by design, as the FAR Board and its Committees feel that top quality education is one of the most important parts of its core mission.

The Magic 3 of Leadership Development
