What do you value most about being a FAR member? Simply put, the people. Over the years, our shared experiences have forged bonds that transcend mere membership. These connections, built on trust, mutual respect, and shared values, are what truly make this organization special.
What's the greatest lesson you've learned, have implemented, and would like to share with FAR members? How does this insight inform your approach to the industry? I've learned to embrace change and innovate relentlessly. Holding onto comfort and outdated methods won't pave the way for growth, either personally or professionally. Instead, I've seen the incredible power of stepping outside my comfort zone, questioning the status quo, and actively seeking new approaches. It's led to personal breakthroughs, unlocked unexpected opportunities, and fueled a fire of creativity. Now, I approach life with a curious mind, open to experimentation and unafraid of failure. I see change not as a threat but as a catalyst for progress and innovation as the key to unlocking my full potential.
What are you seeing and hearing as the top challenges that will impact nonprofit organizations in the next 6-12 months? how does this insight inform your approach to the industry? One of the most pressing concerns for nonprofits in the next year will be navigating a complex workforce landscape. Attracting and retaining skilled staff is becoming increasingly difficult in the current tight labor market, leaving many organizations with unfilled positions and existing employees feeling overworked and burnt out. This talent shortage threatens to impact every aspect of their operations, from delivering services to securing funding. Addressing this challenge, through competitive compensation, flexible work arrangements, and investing in employee development, will be crucial for nonprofits to thrive in the coming months.

OK, enough work questions. What do you do for recreation? When I’m not leading Vault’s strategic marketing initiatives, I enjoy applying my creative talents to my spouse and celebrity chef’s brand. And we have a 3-year-old English Bulldog who keeps us on our toes.
When you need to unwind, what do you do to unplug? Yoga is my way of quieting the mind and releasing tension. It's amazing how a few minutes on the mat can melt away stress and leave me feeling calm and centered. But don’t get me wrong, I love binge-watching a new show. We are currently watching The Sopranos. Remember that series ending?
