Presenter: Rene Shonerd, Vice President , Association Strategy, CIMATRI & Laura Armstrong Senior Consultant, CIMATRI    

Rene Shonerd is the Vice President, Association Strategy at CIMATRI, LLC, in Alexandria, VA. She is active in the association community and a past chair of the ASAE Technology Section. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent State University and a Master of Education from the University of Toledo. She is also a Certified Association Executive and President and CEO of Association Women Technology Champions.

Laura Armstrong, Senior Consultant, CIMATRI, has been in the association space for 20+ years, serving as head of IT for several associations before moving into the consulting arena, assisting associations with critical technology strategy issues and systems selections. Laura previously volunteered on the Programs committee for FAR. 

Description: With COVID, we are revamping how we accomplish our work.  Remote work will continue, we may return to an office workplace, or both. In this session, we will share a list of topics to help you plan for the new normal, including what to look for in your business continuity plan, how to inventory equipment, and how to revise your telecommuting policy and your remote access policy to match what is happening in the new workplace.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn what to consider on returning to the office/not returning to the office/both
  2. Learn what to consider in the revision of key policies related to the new workplace
  3. Learn how to prepare for the hybrid office long-term
  4. Learn how to bridge having both in-office and remote workers
