David Jackson, CAE, CPA, MBA
Dave Jackson joined the American Counseling Association (ACA) as the Senior Director of Finance and Administration in May 2016, becoming CFO as of December 2018. Dave joined ACA after a variety of roles within the nonprofit industry including the American Association of Immunologists, Associated Builders and Contractors, National Geographic, and Johnson Lambert. At ACA, Dave oversees the accounting, finance, information technology, office services, contract administration and legal functions. He also provides strategic advice and budgetary council to all ACA teams, particularly as the organization is on a journey to build the membership value proposition by strengthening content production. Dave is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and graduated with his MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. He earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of William and Mary.

Danielle McLean, CAE, CFE, MBA
Danielle McLean has been involved in accounting for more than 25 years and is currently the Director of Accounting at the American Financial Services Association (AFSA). She manages the day-to-day accounting functions for AFSA, its Education Foundation; and Political Action Committee (PAC). She also manages three additional entities and brings quality and consistency to AFSA’s accounting operations. She joined AFSA in 1997.  Danielle received her Bachelor’s in Accounting and obtained a MBA (MBA) from Trinity Washington University. She has earned her Certification for Association Executive (CAE) from ASAE and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Inc. Committed to continuing education, Danielle is currently pursuing her CPA designation.


Nicole Miller, LEED AP, MBA
Nicole is a senior managing director in Savills Studley’s Washington, DC office, responsible for tenant representation throughout the DC Metro Area and across Northern Virginia and Maryland. Nicole handles the real estate needs of nonprofit associations, law firms, AEC firms and corporations nationally and internationally. To date, she has executed more than 3 million square feet of lease transactions for an impressive roster of prestigious clients including Hogan Lovells, The Bozzuto Group, Mitsubishi Electric, Vanda Pharmaceuticals, the DC Bar, the American Hospital Association and the American Alliance of Museums. At Savills Studley, Nicole offers her clients full-service commercial real estate services including lease, purchase, sale, and build-to-suit negotiations and analysis, as well as overall strategic planning.

  Michelle RhodesBrown, CFA

She serves as the Director of Finance for The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, MD. Michelle’s extensive background includes more than a decade of nonprofit experience combined with more than two decades of investment experience. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University. Michelle is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. Michelle has been a member of FAR for seven years. She regularly attends monthly luncheons and serves on the Program and the Breakfast Committee. Recently, Michelle served on the planning committee for the Holiday Party. Michelle is the mother of two children and very involved in the community. She is also the Vice Chair of the Trustee Ministry for St John Baptist Church in Columbia, MD.

 Xiaowei Zheng

Xiaowei Zheng is in the Chief Financial Officer position for The Community Partnership, a national leading non-profit organization in the continuum of care and homeless services in the District of Columbia. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s budgeting, accounting, treasury management, and corporate financial analysis and planning functions. In this role, Xiaowei manages an annual budget of more than $110 million with multiple funding sources and complex program portfolio from Federal, State and Local government; she was a key member of due diligence team in the organization’s budget increase from $50 million to $110 million from 2006 to 2018. With over ten year’s extensive managerial experience, Ms. Zheng has also successfully led the implementation of several system applications in improving the efficiency and quality in corporate finance, accounting and operations. Xiaowei is also a FAR board member and the chair of FAR breakfast program. Xiaowei holds a master degree in professional accounting and a master degree of literature and linguistics.

Trevor Williams, CPA 
Trevor has worked in public accounting since 1996. He has extensive experience with audit functions, contractual compliance rules, regulations, policies, procedures and accounting operations. He is active in the firm’s implementation of the latest Statement on Auditing Standards concerning the assessment and response to audit risk in a financial statement audit. As a partner, Mr. Williams is responsible for all aspects of client service and engagement administration. He manages the overall planning and administration of audit, review and compilation engagements, as well as the preparation and review of financial statements. Additionally, he assists and supervises staff on audits of nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and entities that are recipients of federal financial assistance programs.
